In all Qualcomm products with Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, a race condition in two KGSL driver functions can lead to a Use After Free condition.

The bug was discovered 08/05/2017. The weakness was disclosed 08/18/2017 with Qihoo 360 (Website). The advisory is available at source.android.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-9682 since 06/15/2017. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
