A vulnerability has been found in Accellion File Transfer Appliance FTA_9_11 (File Transfer Software) and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is the function get_oauth_customer_name. The manipulation of the argument oauth_token as part of a Shell Metacharacter leads to a command injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-77. Accellion File Transfer Appliance before FTA_9_11_210 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via shell metacharacters in the oauth_token parameter.
The bug was discovered 07/13/2015. The weakness was disclosed 08/22/2017 as EDB-ID 37597 as not defined exploit (Exploit-DB). The advisory is shared at exploit-db.com.
