An Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource issue was discovered in Advantech WebAccess versions prior to V8.2_20170817. Multiple files and folders with ACLs that affect other users are allowed to be modified by non-administrator accounts.
The weakness was disclosed 08/30/2017 with Tenable Network Security (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-12713 since 08/09/2017. The attack needs to be approached locally. The requirement for exploitation is a simple authentication.
