A vulnerability was found in FFmpeg 3.3.3 (Multimedia Processing Software). It has been classified as problematic. Affected is the function read_data of the file libavformat/hls.c. In FFmpeg 3.3.3, the read_data function in libavformat/hls.c does not restrict reload attempts for an insufficient list, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop).
The bug was discovered 08/25/2017. The weakness was released 08/31/2017 by Security Team (GitHub Repository). The advisory is available at github.com.
