A vulnerability was found in OpenCart up to 2.2.x (E-Commerce Management Software). It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is the function updateAmazonOrderTracking of the file upload/admin/model/openbay/amazon.php. The manipulation of the argument courier_id as part of a Parameter leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. SQL injection vulnerability in the updateAmazonOrderTracking function in upload/admin/model/openbay/amazon.php in OpenCart before version 2.3.0.0 allows remote authenticated administrators to execute arbitrary SQL commands via a carrier (aka courier_id) parameter to openbay.php.
The bug was discovered 08/31/2017. The weakness was published 08/31/2017 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is shared at github.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2016-10509 since 08/31/2017.
