A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Drupal up to 6.34/7.34 (Content Management System). This issue affects some unknown processing. The manipulation of the argument destination as part of a Parameter leads to a redirect vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-601. A web application accepts a user-controlled input that specifies a link to an external site, and uses that link in a Redirect. This simplifies phishing attacks. Impacted is integrity. Open redirect vulnerability in Drupal 6.x before 6.35 and 7.x before 7.35 allows remote attackers to redirect users to arbitrary web sites and conduct phishing attacks via a URL in the destination parameter.
The weakness was presented 09/13/2017 by Dani with Drupal Security Team (oss-sec). The advisory is shared at openwall.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-2749 since 03/26/2015. The attack may be initiated remotely. Required for exploitation is a simple authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1204.001 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 6.35 or 7.35 eliminates this vulnerability. Applying a patch is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at cgit.drupalcode.org. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be patching the affected component. A possible mitigation has been published even before and not after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
