A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/MRG 2 (Operating System). This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the component nfnetlink_log. Race condition in the kernel in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, kernel-rt and Red Hat Enterprise MRG 2, when the nfnetlink_log module is loaded, allows local users to cause a denial of service (panic) by creating netlink sockets.
The bug was discovered 12/06/2015. The weakness was presented 09/14/2017 as Bug 1288934 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is available at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2015-7553 since 09/29/2015. Local access is required to approach this attack. The requirement for exploitation is a single authentication.
