Polycom RealPresence Resource Manager (aka RPRM) before 8.4 allows attackers to obtain sensitive information and potentially gain privileges by leveraging use of session identifiers as parameters with HTTP GET requests.
The bug was discovered 06/26/2015. The weakness was disclosed 09/19/2017 with SEC Consult Vulnerability Lab as not defined posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2015-4683 since 06/19/2015. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1068 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
