A vulnerability was found in AIRTAME HDMI Dongle up to 2.x. It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown function of the file /bin/login.php of the component Admin Panel. The manipulation of the argument PHPSESSID as part of a HTTP Header leads to a session fixiation vulnerability (Persistent). The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-384. Authenticating a user, or otherwise establishing a new user session, without invalidating any existing session identifier gives an attacker the opportunity to steal authenticated sessions. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
/bin/login.php in the Web Panel on the Airtame HDMI dongle with firmware before 3.0 allows an attacker to set his own session id via a "Cookie: PHPSESSID=" header. This can be used to achieve persistent access to the admin panel even after an admin password change.
