IBM OpenPages GRC Platform 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3 is vulnerable to cross-site scripting. This vulnerability allows users to embed arbitrary JavaScript code in the Web UI thus altering the intended functionality potentially leading to credentials disclosure within a trusted session. IBM X-Force ID: 114711.
The bug was discovered 10/27/2017. The weakness was disclosed 11/01/2017 with Intel (Website). The advisory is available at ibm.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-3048 since 03/09/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. The requirement for exploitation is a single authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
