Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA and WPA2) allows reinstallation of the Group Temporal Key (GTK) during the group key handshake, allowing an attacker within radio range to replay frames from access points to clients.
The bug was discovered 10/16/2017. The weakness was shared 10/31/2017 by Mathy Vanhoef as HT208221 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com.
