A vulnerability has been found in MediaWiki up to 1.27.3/1.28.2/1.29.1 (Content Management System) and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the component URL Escape Handler. The manipulation of the argument $wgShowExceptionDetails with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-79. MediaWiki before 1.27.4, 1.28.x before 1.28.3, and 1.29.x before 1.29.2 has XSS when the $wgShowExceptionDetails setting is false and the browser sends non-standard URL escaping.
