A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in gps-server.net GPS Tracking Software up to 3.0. Affected is the function writeLog of the file fn_common.php. The manipulation with the input value <?php system($_GET[cmd]); ?> leads to a code injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-94. The writeLog function in fn_common.php in gps-server.net GPS Tracking Software (self hosted) through 3.0 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary PHP code via a crafted request that is mishandled during admin log viewing, as demonstrated by <?php system($_GET[cmd]); ?> in a login request.
The bug was discovered 12/03/2017. The weakness was published 01/02/2018 (Website). The advisory is available at exploit-db.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2017-17098 since 12/03/2017.
