The Enterprise Meeting Server in IBM Lotus Sametime 8.5.2 and 8.5.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to share crafted links via the Library function.

The weakness was disclosed 11/08/2013 by Chris John Riley with Raiffeisen Informatik GmbH as IBM Sametime Enterprise Meeting server open redirect as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at xforce.iss.net. The public release has been coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-3045 since 04/12/2013. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.

Applying the patch Fixpack: 8521-ST-Meetings-IF-RHOK-9D2NLF is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at www-933.ibm.com. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
