A vulnerability was found in Jenkins up to 2.89.1/2.94 (Continuous Integration Software). It has been classified as critical. Affected is some unknown functionality of the component Setup Wizard. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a race condition vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-362. The product contains a code sequence that can run concurrently with other code, and the code sequence requires temporary, exclusive access to a shared resource, but a timing window exists in which the shared resource can be modified by another code sequence that is operating concurrently. A race condition during Jenkins 2.81 through 2.94 (inclusive); 2.89.1 startup could result in the wrong order of execution of commands during initialization. This could in rare cases result in failure to initialize the setup wizard on the first startup. This resulted in multiple security-related settings not being set to their usual strict default.
