The viewDeploymentVersionJiraIssuesDialog resource in Atlassian Bamboo before version 6.2.0 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary HTML or JavaScript via a cross site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the name of a release.
The bug was discovered 01/17/2018. The weakness was published 02/02/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared at jira.atlassian.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-18041 since 01/17/2018. The attack may be initiated remotely. A simple authentication is necessary for exploitation.
