A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Piwigo up to 2.9.2 (Photo Gallery Software). Affected is an unknown code block of the file admin/tags.php of the component Administration Panel. The manipulation of the argument tags as part of a Parameter leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Piwigo before 2.9.3 has SQL injection in admin/tags.php in the administration panel, via the tags array parameter in an admin.php?page=tags request. The attacker must be an administrator.
The bug was discovered 02/11/2018. The weakness was published 02/24/2018 (Website). The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2018-6883 since 02/10/2018.
