A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in libcdio up to 0.9. This issue affects the function realloc_symlink of the file rock.c of the component ISO File Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a null pointer dereference vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-476. A NULL pointer dereference occurs when the application dereferences a pointer that it expects to be valid, but is NULL, typically causing a crash or exit. realloc_symlink in rock.c in GNU libcdio before 1.0.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL Pointer Dereference) via a crafted iso file.
