A vulnerability has been found in ImageMagick 7.0.7-22 Q16 (Image Processing Software) and classified as problematic. An issue was discovered in ImageMagick 7.0.7-22 Q16. The IsWEBPImageLossless function in coders/webp.c allows attackers to cause a denial of service (segmentation violation) via a crafted file.

The bug was discovered 02/23/2018. The weakness was presented 02/25/2018 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2018-7470 since 02/25/2018. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
