portcls.sys in the kernel-mode drivers in Microsoft Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 SP2 and R2 SP1, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, and Windows RT allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted application, aka "Port-Class Driver Double Fetch Vulnerability."

The weakness was presented 12/10/2013 with Microsoft as MS13-101 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). It is possible to read the advisory at technet.microsoft.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with Microsoft. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2013-3907 since 06/03/2013. Attacking locally is a requirement. The requirement for exploitation is a single authentication. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit.
