A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in IBM iNotes up to 9.0.0.0 (Groupware Software). This issue affects some unknown processing of the component Email Message Handler. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in iNotes in IBM Domino 8.5.x before 8.5.3 FP6 and 9.0.x before 9.0.1 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via active content in an e-mail message, aka SPRs PTHN9AQMV7 and TCLE98ZKRP.
The weakness was shared 12/18/2013 with ITekia lab as IBM iNotes Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at ibm.com. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-4063 since 06/07/2013. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
