Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in iNotes in IBM Domino 8.5.x before 8.5.3 FP6 and 9.0.x before 9.0.1, when ultra-light mode is enabled, allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via active content in an e-mail message, aka SPR TCLE98ZKRP.
The weakness was released 12/18/2013 with ITekia lab as IBM iNotes Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at ibm.com. The public release was coordinated with IBM. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2013-4065 since 06/07/2013. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059.007 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
