A vulnerability was found in Oracle Transportation Management up to 6.3.2 (Transport Management Software). It has been rated as problematic. Apache Tomcat 6.x before 6.0.37 and 7.x before 7.0.30 does not properly handle chunk extensions in chunked transfer coding, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service by streaming data.
The weakness was presented 01/14/2014 with Oracle as Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory - January 2014 as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at oracle.com. This vulnerability can be exploited via HTTP. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2012-3544 since 06/14/2012. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
