A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Oracle Transportation Management up to 6.3.2 (Transport Management Software). Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the component Application Server. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a improper authentication vulnerability. java/org/apache/catalina/authenticator/FormAuthenticator.java in the form authentication feature in Apache Tomcat 6.0.21 through 6.0.36 and 7.x before 7.0.33 does not properly handle the relationships between authentication requirements and sessions, which allows remote attackers to inject a request into a session by sending this request during completion of the login form, a variant of a session fixation attack.
The weakness was released 01/14/2014 with Oracle as Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory - January 2014 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at oracle.com. This vulnerability can be exploited via HTTP. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-2067 since 02/19/2013. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. A simple authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
