A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Schneider Electric U.motion Builder up to 1.3.3 (Automation Software). This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the file runscript.php. The vulnerability exists within runscript.php applet in Schneider Electric U.motion Builder software versions prior to v1.3.4. There is a directory traversal vulnerability in the processing of the 's' parameter of the applet.
The bug was discovered 04/19/2018. The weakness was released 07/03/2018 (Website). The advisory is available at schneider-electric.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2018-7764 since 03/08/2018. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
