A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in webEdition CMS up to 6.2.6/6.3.7 (Content Management System). The installer script in webEdition CMS before 6.2.7-s1 and 6.3.x before 6.3.8-s1 allows remote attackers to conduct PHP Object Injection attacks by intercepting a request to update.webedition.org.
The bug was discovered 05/28/2014. The weakness was released 07/19/2018 by RedTeam Pentesting with RedTeam Pentesting GmbH as not defined posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2014-2302 since 03/06/2014. The exploitability is told to be easy.
