A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Internet Explorer up to 11 (Web Browser). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown code block. Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 through 11 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a crafted web site, aka "Internet Explorer Memory Corruption Vulnerability," a different vulnerability than CVE-2014-0285 and CVE-2014-0286.
The issue has been introduced in 06/02/1998. The weakness was presented 02/11/2014 by Simon Zuckerbraun with Zero Day Initiative as MS14-010 as confirmed bulletin (Technet) via Zero Day Initiative (ZDI). The advisory is shared for download at technet.microsoft.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-0275 since 12/03/2013. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $0-$5k (estimation calculated on 02/27/2025). It is expected to see the exploit prices for this product decreasing in the near future.
The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 5733 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $25k-$100k.
