Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a crafted web site, aka "Internet Explorer Memory Corruption Vulnerability," a different vulnerability than CVE-2014-0267 and CVE-2014-0290.
The issue has been introduced in 06/26/2013. The weakness was released 02/11/2014 by lokihardt@ASRT with Zero Day Initiative as MS14-010 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared at technet.microsoft.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2014-0289 since 12/03/2013. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. The price for an exploit might be around USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 01/09/2025). It is expected to see the exploit prices for this product decreasing in the near future.
