The swiotlb_print_info function in lib/swiotlb.c in the Linux kernel through 4.14.14 allows local users to obtain sensitive address information by reading dmesg data from a "software IO TLB" printk call.
The bug was discovered 08/06/2018. The weakness was shared 08/07/2018 by Venustech with Adlab of Venustech (Website). The advisory is available at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2018-5953 since 01/20/2018. Local access is required to approach this attack. A single authentication is necessary for exploitation.
