A vulnerability was found in Google Chrome up to 63 (Web Browser). It has been classified as problematic. Affected is an unknown code block of the component Omnibox. Insufficient policy enforcement in Omnibox in Google Chrome prior to 63.0.3239.84 allowed a socially engineered user to XSS themselves by dragging and dropping a javascript: URL into the URL bar.
The bug was discovered 12/06/2017. The weakness was shared 08/28/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at access.redhat.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2017-15427 since 10/17/2017. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
