A vulnerability was found in Google Chrome up to 63 (Web Browser). It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is some unknown processing of the component V8 WebAssembly JS. Inappropriate implementation in V8 WebAssembly JS bindings in Google Chrome prior to 63.0.3239.108 allowed a remote attacker to inject arbitrary scripts or HTML (UXSS) via a crafted HTML page.
The bug was discovered 12/14/2017. The weakness was published 08/28/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2017-15429 since 10/17/2017. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
