RSA BSAFE Micro Edition Suite, versions prior to 4.0.11 (in 4.0.x) and prior to 4.1.6.1 (in 4.1.x) contains a Covert Timing Channel vulnerability during RSA decryption, also known as a Bleichenbacher attack on RSA decryption. A remote attacker may be able to recover a RSA key.
The bug was discovered 08/28/2018. The weakness was presented 08/31/2018 as not defined mailinglist post (Full-Disclosure). The advisory is shared at seclists.org. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2018-11057 since 05/14/2018. The exploitability is told to be difficult. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1600 for this issue.
