The weakness was disclosed 02/20/2014 by Antoine Delignat-Lavaud (Cloudfuzzer) with Google as Stable Channel Update as confirmed release notes (Blog). The advisory is shared at googlechromereleases.blogspot.ch. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-6653 since 11/05/2013. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. The advisory points out:

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 72617 (Google Chrome < 33.0.1750.117 Multiple Vulnerabilities (Mac OS X)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
