The SVGAnimateElement::calculateAnimatedValue function in core/svg/SVGAnimateElement.cpp in Blink, as used in Google Chrome before 33.0.1750.117, does not properly handle unexpected data types, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (incorrect cast) or possibly have unspecified other impact via unknown vectors.

The weakness was presented 02/20/2014 by Antoine Delignat-Lavaud (Cloudfuzzer) with Google as Stable Channel Update as confirmed release notes (Blog). The advisory is available at googlechromereleases.blogspot.ch. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-6654 since 11/05/2013. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. The structure of the vulnerability defines a possible price range of USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 06/09/2021). It is expected to see the exploit prices for this product increasing in the near future. The advisory points out:

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 73164 (Debian DSA-2883-1 : chromium-browser - security update), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Debian Local Security Checks. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 122901 (Debian Security Update for chromium-browser (DSA 2883-1)).
