RSA BSAFE SSL-J versions prior to 6.2.4 contain a Covert Timing Channel vulnerability during RSA decryption, also known as a Bleichenbacher attack on RSA decryption. A remote attacker may be able to recover a RSA key.
The bug was discovered 09/05/2018. The weakness was presented 09/11/2018 as not defined mailinglist post (Full-Disclosure). The advisory is available at seclists.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2018-11069 since 05/14/2018. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
