A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in Apple Mac OS X 10.9/10.9.1 (Operating System). This affects an unknown code block of the component Finder. Finder in Apple OS X before 10.9.2 does not ensure ACL integrity after the viewing of file ACL information, which allows local users to bypass intended access restrictions in opportunistic circumstances via standard filesystem operations on a file with a damaged ACL.
The weakness was presented 02/25/2014 by Meder Kydyraliev with Google Security Team as HT6150 as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2014-1264 since 01/08/2014. The exploitability is told to be easy. Attacking locally is a requirement.
