A vulnerability was found in SonicWALL NSA 2400 (Firewall Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown code block of the file dashboard.jsp. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Dashboard Backend service (stats/dashboard.jsp) in SonicWall Network Security Appliance (NSA) 2400 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the sn parameter.
The weakness was published 03/06/2014 by Benjamin Kunz Mejri as 3a58b0cebeff45f7465f901531544c5f as not defined posting (Packetstorm). The advisory is shared at packetstormsecurity.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-2589 since 03/23/2014. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
