A vulnerability was found in Synology Photo Station up to 6.8.7 (Network Attached Storage Software). It has been classified as critical. Affected is an unknown code block of the component SYNO.PhotoStation.Auth. The manipulation of the argument PHPSESSID as part of a Parameter leads to a session fixiation vulnerability. Authenticating a user, or otherwise establishing a new user session, without invalidating any existing session identifier gives an attacker the opportunity to steal authenticated sessions. Session fixation vulnerability in SYNO.PhotoStation.Auth in Synology Photo Station before 6.8.7-3481 allows remote attackers to hijack web sessions via the PHPSESSID parameter.
