WebEx Meeting Center in Cisco WebEx Business Suite does not properly compose URLs for HTTP GET requests, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information by reading (1) web-server access logs, (2) web-server Referer logs, or (3) a browser s history, aka Bug ID CSCul98272.
The weakness was disclosed 03/18/2014 by Jim LaValley with LaValley Consulting as CSCul98272 as confirmed security notice (Website). The advisory is shared for download at tools.cisco.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2014-0708 since 01/02/2014. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The vulnerability is due to inclusion of sensitive information in URLs as GET parameters. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by viewing application URL requests that contain the sensitive information in GET parameters.
Upgrading eliminates this vulnerability. The upgrade is hosted for download at tools.cisco.com. Applying a patch is able to eliminate this problem.
