Lack of proper validation of ancestor frames site when sending lax cookies in Navigation in Google Chrome prior to 71.0.3578.80 allowed a remote attacker to bypass SameSite cookie policy via a crafted HTML page.
The bug was discovered 12/04/2018. The weakness was released 12/11/2018 by Guang Gong with Qihoo 360 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at chromereleases.googleblog.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2018-18351 since 10/15/2018. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation.
