Failure to dismiss http auth dialogs on navigation in Network Authentication in Google Chrome on Android prior to 71.0.3578.80 allowed a remote attacker to confuse the user about the origin of an auto dialog via a crafted HTML page.
The bug was discovered 12/04/2018. The weakness was presented 12/11/2018 by Guang Gong with Qihoo 360 (Website). The advisory is shared at chromereleases.googleblog.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2018-18353 since 10/15/2018. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
