A vulnerability was found in PTC ThingWorx Platform up to 8.3.0. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown part of the component ZIP File Handler. The manipulation as part of a POST Request leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
