Missing validation in Mojo in Google Chrome prior to 69.0.3497.81 allowed a remote attacker to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page.
The bug was discovered 09/04/2018. The weakness was released 01/09/2019 by Natalie Silvanovich with Google Project Zero (Website). The advisory is shared at chromereleases.googleblog.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2018-16068 since 08/29/2018. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
