A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in NeDi up to 1.7Cp2. This affects an unknown functionality of the file Nodes-Traffic.php. The manipulation of the argument flt as part of a Parameter leads to a command injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-77. Multiple command injection vulnerabilities in NeDi before 1.7Cp3 allow authenticated users to execute code on the server side via the flt parameter to Nodes-Traffic.php, the dv parameter to Devices-Graph.php, or the tit parameter to drawmap.php.
The bug was discovered 10/24/2018. The weakness was disclosed 01/17/2019 (Website). The advisory is shared at nedi.ch. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2018-20727 since 01/16/2019. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The successful exploitation needs a authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1202 for this issue.

By approaching the search of inurl:Nodes-Traffic.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 13395 (NeDi Multiple Vulnerabilities).
Applying the patch 1.7Cp3 is able to eliminate this problem.
