A reflected cross site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in NeDi before 1.7Cp3 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the reg parameter in mh.php.
The bug was discovered 10/24/2018. The weakness was shared 01/17/2019 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at nedi.ch. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2018-20729 since 01/16/2019. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059.007 according to MITRE ATT&CK.

Applying the patch 1.7Cp3 is able to eliminate this problem.
