Use-after-free vulnerability in Free(b)soft Laboratory Speech Dispatcher 0.7.1, as used in Google Chrome before 34.0.1847.116, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application hang) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a text-to-speech request.
The weakness was disclosed 04/08/2014 by Christian Holler (Cloudfuzzer) with Google as Stable Channel Update as confirmed release notes (Website). The advisory is shared for download at googlechromereleases.blogspot.dk. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-1724 since 01/29/2014. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
