A vulnerability was found in Google Chrome 34.0.1847.115 (Web Browser). It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects some unknown functionality of the component Cross-Origin Policy Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The drag implementation in Google Chrome before 34.0.1847.116 allows user-assisted remote attackers to bypass the Same Origin Policy and forge local pathnames by leveraging renderer access.

The weakness was shared 04/08/2014 by Christian Holler (Cloudfuzzer) with Google as Stable Channel Update as confirmed release notes (Website). The advisory is available at googlechromereleases.blogspot.dk. This vulnerability was named CVE-2014-1726 since 01/29/2014. Local access is required to approach this attack. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
