A vulnerability was found in Mozilla Firefox up to 1.0.1 (Web Browser). It has been classified as critical. Affected is an unknown function of the component Netscape Extension. Upgrading eliminates this vulnerability. Applying a patch is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at mozilla.org. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version. Attack attempts may be identified with Snort ID 6503. In this case the pattern GIF is used for detection.
