The bug was discovered 02/12/2019. The weakness was presented 02/12/2019 as confirmed security update guide (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at portal.msrc.microsoft.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with Microsoft. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2019-0672 since 11/26/2018. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. A remote code execution vulnerability exists when the Microsoft Office Access Connectivity Engine improperly handles objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could execute arbitrary code on a victim system.
