A vulnerability was found in Cisco TelePresence TC and TE (Unified Communication Software). It has been declared as critical. The SIP implementation in Cisco TelePresence TC Software 4.x and TE Software 4.x allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (device reload) via crafted SIP packets, aka Bug ID CSCto70562.

Upgrading to version TC 6.3.1 or TC 7.1.1 eliminates this vulnerability.Proper firewalling of udp/5060 (sip-udp), tcp/5060 (sip-tcp), tcp/5061 (sip-tls) is able to address this issue. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
